ROCKVILLE, Md. – July 11, 2024 – Landow House and Cohen-Rosen House, the assisted living residences at Charles E. Smith Life Communities (CESLC), have earned a 2024 Silver National Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).

The Silver National Quality Award is the second level of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which spotlights providers across the nation that have demonstrated their dedication to improving quality of care for residents and individuals in long-term and post-acute care.

Landow House and Cohen-Rosen House are the only Silver National Quality Award recipients in Maryland this year. This is the second time the residences have earned the award.

“We are honored that our commitment to quality and excellence has been recognized by AHCA/NCAL,” said CESLC Vice President of Operations Brenda L. Rice. “This recognition is evidence of the hard work our associates devote to living our mission and values and delivering quality, person-centered care to all we serve.”

Situated on CESLC’s 38-acre campus alongside independent living, long-term care, rehabilitation care, an outpatient health center and more, Landow House is a 60-unit residence offering daily living assistance, medical care, and rehab therapy with 24/7 nurse coverage available on site. Cohen-Rosen House is CESLC’s national award-winning memory care assisted living residence for older adults experiencing cognitive decline.

The National Quality Awards will be presented during Delivering Solutions 24, the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo, October 6-9, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.
