Join us for a discussion on how brain health and gut health are more related than you might think.
Lynn Young M.A. CCC-SLP and Vice President of Operations at Mansbach Health Tools, LLC. home of the BCAT® will discuss the concept of cognition as a vital sign. She will review how the BCAT® Test System, a suite of cognitive assessment tools, can be used by the interprofessional team to identify the presence and/ or severity of cognitive changes in older adults.
Dr. Marsha Siedelman will then discuss the gut-brain connection, the microbiome – what it is, why it is important, and how you can improve your gut health to improve your cognition.

- Explain the difference between cognitive screening and cognitive assessment
- Learn about the six factors of lifestyle medicine and why each is important
